Many studies have documented the neuro-protective and chemo-preventative properties of various nutritional compounds in models of brain injury.
In one study, a combination of vitamin E and l-carnitine helped diminish the brain damaging effects of radiation. Another study demonstrated how omega-3 fatty acids helped reduce the severity of traumatic brain injury by normalizing various compromised neuronal protective mechanisms. And finally, after traumatic brain injury, energy production of the brain is many times compromised. Supplemental curcumin, was shown to help restore energy homeostasis in models of brain trauma. by: MyHealth-Store |
