Vitamin K


A recent study detailed how increased levels of vitamin K2, either through supplementation or through the diet, can reduce the incidence of cardiovascular heart disease. Past studies have demonstrated vitamin K2s ability to decrease the incidence of arterial calcification.

Chlorophyll, the green pigment found in abundance in the fresh water organisms and popular health foods chorella and spirulina, was found to reduce the bioavailability of the toxic carcinogen aflatoxin, a fungal contaminant found in many grains and legumes. Aflatoxin has been implicated as a cause of liver cancer.
